Scaling and Polishing

Scaling is a process of removing stains and hard bacterial deposits stucked on the tooth. These hard deposits are known as Calculus, or Tartar. It is commonly found at areas where pooling of saliva occurs.

Often mistaken as part of the tooth,  its presence always grow undetected by the host; until an extent where it starts to cause perceptible problems.

It is certainly strange that most of us think that our teeth are in good condition just because there is absence of pain. Too many a time people are shocked when they were shown images of their dentition… because they were not expecting to see anything like this:
